    About

Shoshannah attended Marshall University in her undergraduate years to study creative writing. During her time here, she became particularly interested in the international students on campus. Upon graduating in 2014, she decided to pursue a degree in TESOL (Teaching English to Speaker of Other Languages). She now teaches beginning composition classes while she works on completing her thesis. Her research is centered around the application of systemic functional linguistics in the classroom, particularly in the area of composition instruction. Outside of the classroom, she enjoys writing, spending time relaxing on her family’s farm, and reading war memoirs.
