Rosalynn Quiñones-Fernández

Rosalynn Quiñones graduated from University of Puerto Rico, Humacao Campus with a B.S. in Industrial Chemistry and Doctoral Degree in Chemistry from Duquesne University working with Dr. Ellen S. Gawalt. After finishing her Ph.D. study, she completed a postdoctoral training at University of Michigan working with pharmaceutical screening and polymers working with Dr. Adam J. Matzger. Then she joined Washington and Jefferson College as an NSF postdoctoral fellow working with Dr. Robbie Iuliucci. In 2013, Dr. Quiñones was appointed as Assistant Professor at Marshall University. Currently, she is also a Faculty in Residence at Holderby Hall, Buskirk Hall and Twin Towers West.
Dr. Quiñones’ research interests include modification and characterization of metal oxide nanoparticles using thin films. Developing surface free radical polymerization to synthesize polymer brushes onto the metal oxide nanostructures.
