Maurice A. Mufson, M.D., retired after working for in Internal Medicine for 26 year. Dr. Mufson has over 50 years’ experience in research and vaccine development. In addition to vaccine research in an adult population at UPIM, Dr. Mufson collaborated with doctors at University Pediatrics, to conduct research in the development of various vaccines for the pediatric population. These projects provided access to new vaccines in development by several pharmaceutical sponsors. All projects were conducted under the oversight of the FDA and other regulatory agencies.
The research team also worked in the development of new vaccine delivery methods in place of traditional injection.
