Goran Boskovic

Dr. Goran Boskovic was manager of the Next Generation and Microarray Core facilities and professor of biochemistry and microbiology.
Born in Nis, Serbia, in 1963, he received a B.Sc. in chemistry from the University of Nis and a Ph.D. in biochemistry from the Medical College of Wisconsin. He came to Marshall in 1996 and served until 2004 as a postdoctoral fellow in the Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine. In 2004 he joined the Genomic Core facility, where he was manager of the Microarray Core until 2011 when he was named Manager of both the Microarray Core facility and the Next Generation sequencing facility.
Boskovic had previously served as a chemical engineer for NISSAL, an aluminum treatment factory in Nis, as well as well as a teaching assistant for physical chemistry at the University of Nis. He had extensive experience in all areas of microarray experiment, including labeling, hybridization, scanning and data extraction, as well as pathway analysis.
