Dr. Elsa I. Mangiarua is a Professor in the Department of Pharmacology, Physiology, and Toxicology and serves as the Section Head of Physiology within this department. She serves with the MS-1 subcommittee and the Multicultural Advisory Committee. She is also the Academic Coordinator of the Summer Research Internship for Minority Students and Director for both of the WV-INBRE Summer Research Programs. Dr. Mangiarua studies oxidative stress in obesity-associated hypertension and sciatic nerve compartments associated with the complications of diabetes
