Dr. Eugenia Webb-Damron

I taught Preschool Special Needs for 13 years, served as Asst. and then Principal at Kellogg Elementary for nine years.  Being a principal was the hardest job I ever loved.  After leaving Kellogg I spent two years at RESA 2 as the six county regional director of Special Education.  I was then blessed to begin teaching in the Leadership Studies Program at Marshall University on the South Charleston Campus.  The years here have been exceptional, I now am the Director of Leadership Studies, and am an Assistant Professor. 

My research includes truancy and drop-out prevention, the confidence gap in women, and school improvement practices.  I work with students in areas of their interest and have gained much knowledge through that process.

I have traveled the world and had the rare opportunity to teach in Guyana, South America last summer.  My travels have taught me about cultures, methodologies, and politics in ways I would have never imagined.
